MonkeyTalker is a tool that turns a written script into a short video starring an animated character that you build yourself. You pick a body, an outfit and a voice. You paste a script. The video renders with lip-sync, captions and stock footage — ready for TikTok, Reels and Shorts.
Do I need to film anything??
No. The whole point is no camera, no studio and no lighting. You write what your character should say; MonkeyTalker generates the voice, the mouth movement, the visuals and the cuts.
How long does a video take to make?
Most users go from blank page to finished 30-second video in three minutes. Your first character takes a little longer because you’re designing it; after that, every new video is just paste, pick a voice, render.
How is this different from other AI video tools?
Most AI video tools give you a list of stock human avatars in business attire. MonkeyTalker is built for short-form social video and gives you a cartoon character that you design yourself, part by part. Your character becomes your on-screen face — not someone else’s.
Can I use the videos commercially?
Yes on the Creator and Business plans. The Starter plan allows personal and creator use; commercial rights are explicit on Creator and above. Founding Members get commercial rights forever.
What happens to my unused minutes at the end of the month?
Unused video minutes roll over for up to three months. Anything beyond that cap is removed at renewal. Top-up minutes you buy separately never expire.
Is there a free plan?
Yes. The free tier gives you about 1.5 minutes of video per month and lets you build one character. The watermark "Made with MonkeyTalker" appears on exports. Upgrade only when you need more volume.
What languages and voices are supported?
Three voice tiers: basic voices on Free, premium voices from Starter ($9), and ultra voices from Creator ($24) with richer expression and multi-language delivery. Lip-sync runs at the phoneme level so it stays sharp in any language.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Cancel from your account in one click; the plan stays active until the end of the period you already paid. No contracts, no questions.
Where does the video render?
In the cloud. You hit export, the video renders on AWS Lambda and downloads to your machine when ready. You don’t need a powerful computer.
