This Privacy Policy applies to the MonkeyTalker website (monkeytalker.com), its free demo, and the MonkeyTalker app (app.monkeytalker.com). It matches the policy shown in the app, effective May 16, 2026, and adds the demo and the website details in sections 2, 5, 7, and 12.
1. Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to MonkeyTalker websites, apps, dashboards, APIs, and related services that link to it. It does not apply to websites, platforms, or services we do not control.
MonkeyTalker is intended for users in the United States and other locations where the Service is made available. If you use the Service, you understand that personal information may be processed in the United States and in other countries where our service providers operate.
2. Personal Information We Collect

Please do not upload sensitive personal information unless it is necessary for the video you are creating and you have the legal right to use it.
3. Sources of Personal Information
- Directly from you when you create an account, use the demo, upload content, build videos, contact support, or buy a plan.
- Automatically from your device and browser when you use the Service.
- From Google when you use Google sign-in.
- From Stripe when you start, update, cancel, or pay for a plan.
- From service providers that help us operate, secure, analyze, and improve the Service.
4. How We Use Personal Information
- create, authenticate, secure, and manage accounts;
- provide video creation, editing, rendering, download, AI, voice, transcription, media, and template features;
- process payments, subscriptions, cancellations, credits, and refunds;
- send service emails, verification emails, password reset emails, billing notices, support replies, and product updates;
- measure product usage, debug problems, improve onboarding, and understand retention and feature performance;
- detect abuse, enforce our Terms, prevent fraud, and protect users and the Service;
- comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests; and
- with your consent, for any other purpose disclosed when we collect the information.
5. The Free Demo
The demo runs on a separate MonkeyTalker service. It processes your script or audio only to generate your video, and it deletes the submitted material and the generated video about one hour after the video is ready. We do not ask for your email or create an account to use the demo.
6. AI Providers and Your Content
To provide AI-assisted features, we may send relevant parts of Your Content and project data to AI, transcription, text-to-speech, and media-processing providers, such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Groq, AssemblyAI, fal.ai, Fish Audio, and similar providers we use from time to time. We use those providers to generate or transform content for your project and to operate the Service. We do not use Your Content to train a public MonkeyTalker AI model.
7. Cookies, Analytics, and Local Storage
We use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies for login, security, preferences, product analytics, and marketing measurement. Our analytics stack may include PostHog and Google Tag Manager in the app, and Google Tag Manager with Google Analytics and Cloudflare on the website. We do not enable PostHog autocapture in the app; instead, we send selected product events such as page views, onboarding steps, generation events, and download events. Optional analytics and marketing-style tracking are disabled when your browser sends a recognized privacy opt-out signal, such as Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track, or when you opt out in the app.

9. Sale or Sharing of Personal Information
We do not sell personal information for money. Some U.S. state privacy laws define “sell” or “share” broadly enough to include certain analytics or advertising technologies. You can opt out of optional analytics and marketing-style tracking in the app or by emailing us at [email protected].
10. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, including California and other U.S. states with comprehensive privacy laws, you may have rights to:
- know or access the personal information we collect about you;
- receive a portable copy of certain personal information;
- delete personal information, subject to legal exceptions;
- correct inaccurate personal information;
- opt out of sale, sharing, targeted advertising, or certain profiling, where applicable;
- limit certain uses or disclosures of sensitive personal information, where applicable;
- appeal a denied privacy request, where applicable; and
- not be discriminated against for exercising your privacy rights.
To exercise a privacy right, email [email protected] with the subject “Privacy Request.” We may need to verify your identity before completing a request. Authorized agents may submit requests where allowed by law, but we may require proof of authorization and identity verification.

The categories below describe personal information we collect and have collected in the past 12 months, the purposes for collection, and the categories of recipients to whom we disclose it.

12. Retention
We keep personal information for as long as needed to provide the Service, maintain your account, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, prevent fraud and abuse, and maintain backups. Project files and generated videos may remain until you delete them, delete your account, or we remove them under our policies, subject to backup and legal-retention limits. Demo submissions and demo videos are deleted about one hour after the video is ready.
13. Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials safe.
14. Children
MonkeyTalker is not directed to children under 13 and is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 provided personal information to us, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
15. Third-Party Links and Platforms
Your videos may be downloaded and published to third-party platforms, and the Service may link to third-party websites or media sources. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of services we do not control.
16. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will take reasonable steps to notify you, such as posting a new effective date or sending a notice.
